The community of Sacred Heart is committed to "sharing and living our faith" through programs and “celebrating faith” through Sacraments and Liturgical celebrations. We also feel that the responsibility for catechesis rests with the entire parish.  "Catechesis always has been and always will be a work for which the whole Church must feel responsible and must wish to be responsible.” (Catechesi Tradendae, “Catechesis in our Time” by Pope John Paul II, 1979). 
 

1. If the Pinellas school system is closed or closes early because of severe weather, we will cancel our sessions that day.
2. If the Pinellas schools are open and we are canceling sessions, we will leave a message on our telephone – 541-4447

Our office can assist those seeking information on enrollment in programs leading to First Penance, First Communion and Confirmation. Please refer to the section on sacraments for further information. Adults interested in becoming Catholic or seeking to complete the sacraments of initiation is invited to enroll in our RCIA process.  Please refer to the section on RCIA for further information.

Volunteers as always appreciated and needed. A volunteer needs the desire to be comfortable sharing the Good News and their own faith with children and youth.  Previous experience is not necessary. There is group and individual training, numerous resources and a supportive staff.
